who we are

The terra luna story

Born in 2015 as a passion project by founder Elise Hanks, Terra Luna Herbals is a celebration of nature’s vibrant blooms and the healing power of herbs.

Elise combines her background in floral design, small-scale farming, and herbalism to offer local flowers and handmade herbal recipes in Philadelphia. Growing both medicinal herbs and fresh-cut flowers allows her to bring her passions for thoughtful, sustainable design and accessible, plant-based wellness to life.

Every flower and herb we grow tells a story—a story of the soil, the care it received, and the joy it brings to our community. We invite you to explore our herbal teas and florals, each crafted with love and dedication to sustainability.

Visit the Farm

Our farm and studio reside on American Street, in the Norris Square neighborhood of Philadelphia.

We would be happy to host you at the farm for tours, volunteering, or just a fun visit, but we do ask that you make an appointment first! If you would like to visit the farm or shop our products in person, contact us and an appointment can be arranged. We want to share our green space with you!

Community Support

At Terra Luna, we hope to represent a resource in the wellness and farming communities with our own voices, while simultaneously honoring the healers, teachers, growers, and traditions of knowledge that came well before us. Our main goal is to offer quality, affordable herbal recipes, and fresh-cut flowers to our local community. We hope our farm can be a place where folks from across Philadelphia can come and experience plants firsthand, through volunteer days and agricultural workshops at our city farm.

We want to empower everyone to take their wellness into their own hands :)
